Control

Robots.txt and crawl-delay

CitoveraBot is designed to respect robots.txt and Crawl-delay when provided. Crawl budgets and per-host delays are part of the safety rules before any production crawling workflow is activated.

How to block CitoveraBot

To block CitoveraBot for a site, add this rule to your robots.txt:

User-agent: CitoveraBot
        Disallow: /

Blocking is honored at the site level. If something still looks wrong, send us a domain, UTC timestamp and log excerpt.

DNS

Dedicated crawler hostnames

Dedicated crawler hostnames and reverse DNS are being prepared so that crawler traffic can be attributed cleanly. Do not treat reverse DNS as verified until your logs show it for a specific request.
